pineapple stitch

I was busy looking for a good border stitch, something dramatic and puffy with a good bit of stitch definition and I came across this stitch in my Betty Barnden Handbook of Crochet Stitches (you can buy it here), the Pineapple Stitch. It's my new favourite and yes I know I say that about all my stitch swatches but really, this one is so ACE.

Easy to work, a bit like a standard puff stitch but I love the way that holding the last stitch back to be worked separately gives the top edge a nice pineappley shape - if that makes no sense to you then watch the video and all will become clear, I promise.

AKA the one where I get my P's mixed up! I have been testing some stitches out for a commission that I've got on the books and in particular I've been looking at border stitches. This pineapple stitch is SO perfect I think that it's definitely the one for me.
