Aztec Tile Blanket Knit-Along by Lynne Rowe and Deramores

In the name of transparency I will start off by telling you that Lynne is my technical editor as well as my friend but even if she wasn’t I would be in love with this blanket. Isn’t it super?

It comes in two colours, a rainbow bright version or the soft pastel version shown above and both of them are EPIC.

The blanket has lots of different stitch textures and colourwork to try out, plus it looks like the construction is something special too.

The knit-along, which started on the 22nd November is hosted by Deramores and you can find out more details, key dates and yarn pack prices etc here.

Bumble Bee Hook from Pedro’s Plaques

I finally got my hands on one of these delicious bumble bee hooks from Karen @pedrosplaques.

It is delightful. I am in love with it because not only does it look super but it sits in your hand all lovely and comfortable too, I couldn’t be happier. I don’t think she has them listed in her shop all the time (currently not available) but when they are re-stocked, I suggest you get one super quick :)

It is currently being used to make the Waves and Bobbles sweater from @monpetitviolon which leads me nicely on to the next November favourite…

I love Vita’s @monpetitviolon designs, she really is a crochet superstar and her patterns are a proper delight to make. I have made a few of them for Betsy and this gorgeous pattern is currently on the bumble bee hook (see above) and I’m enjoying it so much.

Hoping to get it made for Christmas but not sure if I will and also dreading the time when Betsy is too old for Vita’s amazing children’s designs although I have a sneaking suspicion that this design is available in adult sizes now too!!!

Yarn Advent

I have been trying to find a lovely pattern to make with my yarn advent calendar from @biffsugaryarns. I’m so excited that I managed to get hold of an advent yarn calendar, normally I miss the boat completely and sob my way through December whilst everyone else is showing off their pretty presents.

My current favourite is the Vega Wrap from @shara_made - isn’t it lovely?

She has many lovely adventy type patterns for both knit and crochet, I think this is her pattern from last year. I also love this year’s pattern but I think it has brioche knitting involved and I’m not quite ready for that level of concentration, not in December anyway!

Six Wives Shawl

And finally, my Six Wives Shawl pattern is out there now and doing so well, thank you to everyone who has purchased the pattern so far and also to those who have started making their shawls already, I’m so excited to see how it looks in other colourways.

I hope your November was wonderful and filled with so much love, maybe a few fireworks, hot chocolates and a touch of frost too, I love the chilly weather, hurrah!

Have fun with your yarn this month, be creative and happy and I’ll see you at the end of the year, happy crocheting y’all!
