EPISODE 96 SHOW NOTES

I’ve finally got a new camera and it is fabulous, super high quality and with a swishy auto focus that I can’t get enough of. I will need to practice keeping my hands out of the frame though because it tends to focus on my hands instead of my face when I’m expressing myself in my usual flouncy, handsy kind of way and that is not good eh?

HALF FINISHED OBJECTS

I’ve got two half finished socks this week and one almost half finished sock (bummer).

The first half finished object is my Easter socks for Darren using my favourite Pairfect sock yarn from Regia (now discontinued) matched (or should I say unmatched) with West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply in the colour Nutmeg (630).

I’m using a small sock bag from Sarah Jo Makes on Etsy, you can find her shop here.

The second is my Easter socks for Betsy, which are very much more spring like and snazzy. I’m using the Popping Candy sock set from Woolly Mama Yarns and the pattern is a new zig zag design worked over 60 stitches that I’m hoping to launch soon. My beautiful bag is from Eva at Coco & Flora on Etsy and you can find her shop here.

WIPS

I finally got back to my Coins Socks this week after they spent some time in the naughty corner for having the audacity to look bad after I fussed over them too much. Gah!

These are the last in my tarot series of socks using my favourite Drops Nord woolly sock yarn in the colour Mustard. The previous socks are the Wands, the Cups and the Swords and the bag is once again from Coco & Flora.

If you would like to test either the zig zag or the coins socks just drop me a line or leave me a comment with your email address and I will be in touch soon.

I’m also still working on my Lockdown Blanket - of course because these lockdowns and infringements on our civil liberties will never bloody well end - you can find the free pattern here.

And my final work in the progress this week is another long-term project, my pastel London Blanket.

NEW & NOTABLE

I’ve started working on my vintage Sirdar cardigan, see here for more details.

I had some pretty things for my birthday including the Posy mini skein set from Biffsugar Yarns and some multicoloured speckled yarn from Twinkknits.

I also had some new yarn in the post from Wildflower Yarn.

Enjoy the podcast folks, and don’t forget to shine bright like a diamond.
