new pattern | autumn socks

Today I’m launching my new knitting pattern for the Autumn Socks.

The pattern for the Autumn Socks is entirely within the ribbing and after spending ages interpreting a large piece of knitting design from a Japanese stitch book to pull out the tiny coin elements, I found out it was simply a type of rib called Fuji that I could have easily looked up in a stitch dictionary! Typical.

For these socks I used Drops Nord in my favourite mustard colourway, Goldenrod (18).

Drops Nord is a slightly thicker and warmer 4ply sock yarn owing to its high alpaca content, and I love them for winter dog walking and general cozy autumn and winter sock wearing.

Once the tricky ribbing is out of the way - it’s really not that bad and definitely made easier by using 2.5mm needles - the sock becomes a very mellow knit all in plain stockinette to the very end.

The Autumn Socks can be purchased on either Ravelry or Etsy - I always offer two options to purchase now as I know many of you are not so keen to use Ravelry these days.

I always launch my patterns first to my newsletter subscribers and they alone get a special launch discount so if you want to be the first to know for future launches you can subscribe below.

I hope that all is good with you, sending you tons of best wishes and happy knitting!
