a quick and easy toddler hat
I got this pattern for Christmas together with a skein of this delicious wool in the colour Earl Grey, Mrs Moon Plump is just fabulous, chunky, soft stuff. I did originally fancy the hat for myself but considering the size of my giant head, it was never going to happen, so Betsy got a new hat instead.
She chose the colour for the bobble, it is this yarn in the colour Azalea. I'm thinking it's a good choice, that girl's got style. It's got a slight tam o shanter feel, I think the oversized bobble tips it over the edge of normal and into the realms of fantasy (people are going to stare) hats, I don't know why I feel the need to supersize stuff that goes on my (or my daughter's) head but I frigging love it.
This pattern is so easy, I hooked it in under half an hour - couldn't believe it, Betsy went up for her bath and came back down to a new hat - yes, I am that awesome.
She veers from wanting to wear it all the time, wearing pyjamas, playing shops, that kind of thing.
To not wearing it at all 'NO, get it away'!
Classic toddler stuff, not gonna cry, it's just a hat.
